2 teaspoons of raw honey


Add baking soda to two spoons of honey and mix it well in order to form a paste. Then apply this mixture to the acne affected areas of your skin using your finger. Scrub gently in circular motions for around 3 to 5 minutes and then rinse off the mixture using lukewarm water.


Due to acne, your skin is already inflamed and sensitive so make sure that you scrub it gently while applying the mixture.

  • Turmeric powder and honey

The ancient Chinese have been using turmeric for a long time because of its amazing healing and antiseptic properties. When it is mixed up with honey an amazing potent mixture is formed which is effective in treating acne problems.


A pinch of turmeric

1 teaspoon of honey


Apply the prepared mixture on your acne affected areas and leave it on for around 20 minutes. Then wash off the mixture using lukewarm water.


Avoid adding too much turmeric as it can cause stains on your skin and cause irritation.

  • Honey and cinnamon face mask for acne problems

1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

IF you are allergic to cinnamon then you must avoid applying this mixture on the acne affected areas of your face and other body parts.

  • Apple cider vinegar and honey

2 tablespoons of organic honey

1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar

1 part water

Cotton pad/cotton ball


Dampen your skin before application of raw honey all over your face and then massage it in circular motions for up to five to seven minutes.

Leave it on your face for 30 minutes and then wash it off using lukewarm water.

Then mix apple cider vinegar into water and use it as a toner afterwards. Apply it by swiping up the liquid in upward motions and then leave it to dry naturally.

Moisturize your face afterwards.


If your skin is very sensitive then use diluted apple cider vinegar or it can cause your skin to sting.

  • Aspirin and honey

The chemical name for aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid and it is responsible for drying out the pimple and unclogging pores. It can also act as an active agent in reducing scars due to acne and reducing the pore size so that acne can be avoided.


2 to 3 tablets of aspirin

1 teaspoon of honey

1 teaspoon of water


Crush the aspirin tablets to form a powder and then mix water and honey to it.IT will take the form of a paste. Apply a layer of this paste to the acne-prone areas of your skin in the form of a mask and leave it to dry for around 10 minutes. Rinse it off with water.


The aspirin mask can make your skin dry so do not forget to apply a moisturizer after application of this face mask in order to keep your skin hydrated.

  • Oatmeal and honey for acne

Oatmeal contains saponins and it has abundant cleansing properties and when applied on skin it helps in removing all the impurities of your skin as a result of which acne can be avoided. Oatmeal also soothes the skin and reduces inflammation as well.


Half cup of cooked oatmeal

1 to 2 spoons of raw honey


Cook the oatmeal by following the instructions mentioned on the pack of the oatmeal and then you need to add honey to it and stir well to form a paste. Before making the mixture, leave the oatmeal to cool down to room temperature. Then apply the mixture in the acne affected areas using your fingers. Leave it on your skin for almost 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Moisturize your skin afterwards using an oil-free moisturizer.

  • Honey and sugar mask

Sugar is known for exfoliating your skin cells and it also removes the excess oil so that it does not cause acne due to clogged pores. Application of sugar makes the skin look smoother and makes it acne free.


1 teaspoon of honey

1 teaspoon of brown sugar


Take a bowl and mix the sugar and honey in it. Then apply the mixture on your acne affected areas of the skin before the brown sugar melts. Leave it on your skin for around 15 minutes and then rinse it off.

  • Sea salt and honey

Sea salt is responsible for speeding up the healing process caused due to acne because of its antibacterial properties.


1 teaspoon of honey

1 teaspoon of sea salt

2 teaspoons of hot water


Take all the above-mentioned ingredients and mix them in a bowl. Then apply this mixture on the acne prone areas of the skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off using lukewarm water. Pat your skin dry and then use a good moisturizer to avoid dryness of the skin.


While applying this mask you must be gentle as applying too much pressure can irritate the already inflamed skin and cause itching and burning sensation.

  • Coconut oil and honey

Coconut oil is a very famous ingredient for treating skin related problems, especially acne as it nourishes and hydrates the skin. It is also responsible for balancing the production of sebum component of your skin and avoids acne breakouts. Coconut oil is also rich in anti-bacterial properties.


1 teaspoon of organic coconut oil

1 teaspoon of raw honey


Mix the coconut oil and honey thoroughly until the oil completely dissolves. Then smear this mixture all over the acne affected areas of the skin and let it sit for up to 15 minutes. Rinse off the mixture afterwards and pat it dry.


The coconut oil mixture may not suit all skin types and the acne prone skin is usually more sensitive as compared to normal skin so it can cause more breakouts. In order to avoid that you must apply it on a small portion of skin and if it works well then you can apply it on the full acne affected areas.

  • Tea tree oil and honey

Tea tree oil is rich in antibacterial, antiprotozoal and antiparasitic properties and it is very active in killing bacteria in addition to speeding up the healing process of the skin. Tea tree oil has amazing benefits for the skin and must be used to get clear and smooth skin.


1 tablespoon of honey

2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil


Take a bowl and add tea tree oil and honey into it. Then spread this mixture well evenly on your face and rinse it off after 10-12 minutes.


Tea tree can cause rashes f your skin is too sensitive and in order to avoid this problem, you must use it after diluting it with water. Perform a patch test and if it does not cause any problem s then you can apply it on the whole acne affected area.

  • Garlic and honey

Garlic contains a component known as allicin which is an anti-bacterial compound and it is responsible for disinfecting the skin and removing all types of harmful bacteria making your skin acne free.


3 cloves of garlic

Half teaspoon of manuka honey (you can also take normal raw honey)

A pinch of turmeric powder


You need to crush the garlic cloves into fine pieces and then add honey and turmeric powder into it. Mix it well enough so that it forms a paste-like consistency. Then apply this paste on the acne affected areas of your skin as well as surrounding areas. Leave it on for up to 8 to 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly using lukewarm water.
