Of course, there is nothing to worry. People with dry skin can combat acne with some simple solutions. These are:
- Use the right creams.
If you notice, most acne treatments cause the skin to dry. However, there are those that are less drying, such as tea tree oil for acne. After using it, you will love how your skin feels. But before using, it is highly recommended to do a skin test. Some may have allergic reactions to this essential oil. If you insist on using it, you can dilute it first or maybe find commercial products that use tea tree oil for acne as the main ingredient.
- Do not forget to moisturize.
To prevent your skin from drying, you have to moisturize every day. If you are scared that acne may flare-up, simply choose a moisturizer that is safe for sensitive skin. Do not be tempted to use a moisturizer just because you see it daily on television. Be sure to ask or check the ingredients first.
- Do not over wash your face.
Unless you want to get rid of the natural oils in your skin, do not over wash your face. How? Use a cleanser once a day. Before you go to bed in the evening, remove your makeup with virgin coconut oil and rinse with water to remove the residue. That way, your skin stays clean and clear from dirt.
- Use natural home remedies for acne.
There are lots of natural acne treatments you can find at home. Tomato is among them. Slice the tomato into half and scrub gently on your face. If that doesn’t work for you, feel free to mash it up and use it as a facial pack.
Then again, if a tomato is unavailable, you can use garlic instead. Garlic has been used for years to treat skin problems because of its antifungal and antibiotic properties. To use, crush garlic and mix with water to create a paste. And then, apply on your face. Leave it on for a few hours and then, rinse.
- Use ice to reduce inflammation.
Though using ice for acne treatments is controversial, many have found relief in using it. According to many, ice can effectively soothe and reduce the redness of acne. It can also be paired with tea tree oil for better results. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to water and then, freeze. When the need arises, get the frozen essential oil infused ice. Apply to the acne.
At the end of the day, no matter how effective your chosen solution is, your lifestyle and your dedication to skin care will matter. If you don't take care of your skin and depend on these natural solutions alone, chances are, the problem will keep coming back again and again. So be responsible to keep that stubborn acne at bay!
